De tres lojas diferentes!
From three different shops!
Quando estive no Japão, tentei visitar todas as lojas Closet Child que consegui. Acho que quase todo mundo que curte esse estilo gostaria de comprar roupas lolita de segunda mão em uma loja física, não é? A Closet Child é o único "brechó lolita" que me vem à mente. (Em 2016, a Usagiyouhinten também era uma loja física, mas acho que não existe mais.) Dito isso, a experiência em cada loja foi bem diferente. Visitei quatro lojas no total: Harajuku (Tóquio), Ikebukuro (Tóquio), Shinjuku (Tóquio) e Osaka. Estes são todos os itens que comprei:
When I was in Japan, I tried to go to every Closet Child shop possible. I think almost everyone in this fashion would like to shop for secondhand lolita in a real, physical shop, right? Closet Child is the one 'lolita thrift shop' I can think of.
(Back in 2016, Usagiyouhinten was also a physical shop, but I don't think they exist anymore.)
That being said, the experience in each shop was very different. I visited 4 locations in total: Harajuku (Tokyo), Ikebukuro (Tokyo), Shinjuku (Tokyo) and Osaka. These are all the items I bought:
A bolsa Strawberry Cupcake da Angelic Pretty custou quase o preço de varejo japonês (11000¥), mas bem menos do que na Europa (169€). Ela só tinha um arranhãozinho! Achei incrível que seja exatamente a mesma bolsa que eu sonhava em 2022. Ela combina com metade do meu guarda-roupa, sinceramente.
The Angelic Pretty Strawberry Cupcake bag was almost the japanese retail price (11000¥), but way less than the price in Europe (169€). It only had a tiny scratch! I found it crazy that is literally the same bag I dreamed about back in 2022. It matches half of my wardrobe, honestly.
Tentei criar mini coordiates com todos os outros items, espero que goste! O primeiro é o colorway azul marinho da print Fluffy Bear da Axes Femme Kawaii. Eu acho que essa estampa foi tão amada, porque eu vi em outras cores na CC, como lilás, e está listada no site oficial em outras cores ainda! Já usei esse vestido lá em Tóquio e ele é bem confortável. As alcinhas são ajustáveis também!
I tried to create mini coordinates with all the other items, I hope you like it! The first is a navy colorway from the Fluffy Bear print from Axes Femme Kawaii. I think this print was so loved, because I saw it on other colorways in CC like lavender, and it is listed on their website in even other colors! I wore this dress already in Tokyo and it is quite comfortable. The straps are adjustable too. ❤
Eu estava desejando muito os sapatos dourados e os comprei na CC Osaka por 1000¥. Eles não estão em perfeitas condições — têm arranhões e marcas, e são de couro sintético/PU, o que significa que não vão durar anos como outros sapatos, mas por 5 euros eu estava disposta a arriscar. Tenho várias outras combinações para eles, acho que funcionam bem com esta bolsa! A estrela dourada brilhante custou 400¥.
The golden shoes were long due for me, and I got them at CC Osaka for 1000¥. They are not in the best condition - they have scratches and marks, and they are fake leather / PU which means they can't last for years like other shoes, but for 5€ I was willing to give them a shot. I have several other coords for them, I think they match well with this bag! The shiny golden star was 400¥.
A seguir, temos este JSK da Shirley Temple. Não aparece na Lolibrary, parece ser da coleção infantil/juvenil mais antiga (a etiqueta indica o tamanho 160) e tem uma estampa na barra que lembra um mil-folhas, além de velas de aniversário. Adoro que tenha cores de chocolate, cores de sorvete napolitano e frutinhas vermelhas! É simplesmente perfeito! O anel de chocolate eu encontrei em outra loja da CC por 350 ienes.
Next is this Shirley Temple JSK. It is not on Lolibrary, it seems to be from the older children/teens collection (the tag lists the size as 160), and looks like a millefeuille in the border print, plus birthday candles. I love that it has both chocolate colors, neapolitan ice cream colors, and red berries! It is just perfect! The chocolate ring I found in another CC location, for 350¥.
Por fim, este cardigã marrom é da m♡petit, uma colaboração entre Aoki Misako (sim, a embaixadora lolita) e a Shimamura, uma loja de departamento no Japão. É 100% acrílico, mas bem leve, ideal para dias mais quentes. Meu laço rosa da MLT está escondendo o bordado dourado, desculpe.
Lastly, this brown cardigan is from m♡petit, a collab from Aoki Misako (yes, the lolita ambassador) and Shimamura, a department shop in Japan. It is 100% acrylic, but quite light, so suitable for warmer days. My pink MLT bow is hiding the golden embroidery, sorry.
Agora, um pouco sobre as lojas: quando fui à Closet Child de Harajuku, estava fechada. Estaria fechada novamente nos dias seguintes em que planejei ir, e não haveria as promoções de Ano Novo como antigamente. Amigos me disseram que essa loja geralmente nem permite mais a entrada de clientes; eles mostram um tablet para você escolher as peças e depois você paga. Experimentar as roupas? JAMAIS. Descobri que essa é a nova regra em todas as outras lojas da Closet Child também: não se pode experimentar as roupas. A Closet Child de Ikebukuro estava absurdamente LOTADA de roupas, tanta que havia até peças no chão, quase sem espaço para andar, e era preciso usar força para puxar as roupas das araras. Muitos itens ainda estavam sem etiqueta de preço. Vi as funcionárias da loja tirando fotos para o site, o que foi legal, mas fazer compras lá foi problemático e senti que minha presença era indesejada. Felizmente, foi lá que comprei o vestido de ursinho, a bolsa de Cupcake e os dois acessórios.
A loja da CC em Shinjuku era o lugar mais bonito e organizado - eles tinham até uma seção dedicada a peças punk e da Vivienne Westwood. Eles tinham até a jaqueta vermelha de coração em exposição!! Eu queria comprar metade da loja, sinceramente, mas os preços estão muito altos hoje em dia... Qualquer vestido da BTSBB custava mais de 40000¥, e se tivesse um estilo old school, 60000¥ ou até mais. Comprei o cardigã e o vestido da Shirley Temple lá. Por fim, a loja da CC em Osaka é maior - eles têm dois andares separados, um para lolita e outro para punk; mas era o final da minha viagem e eu não consegui encontrar nenhum vestido que eu quisesse lá, mas comprei os sapatos incríveis. Outras amigas minhas concordaram que a loja de Osaka tem as funcionárias mais simpáticos e uma seleção melhor do que outras lojas. Acho que concordo com elas...
Now, a little about the shops: When I went to the Harajuku CC, it was closed. It would be closed again the next days I planned to go there, and there would be no new year sales like back in the day. Friends told me this shop usually don't even let people in anymore, they show you a tablet to choose pieces from and then pay. Try things on? NO WAY. Turns out this is the new rule in all other Closet Child locations too, you cannot try things on. Ikebukuro's CC was ridiculously FULL of clothes, so much that would be even stuff on the floor, almost no space to walk and you had to use force to pull things from the clothing racks. Many items were still without price tags. I saw the shop staff taking pictures for the website, which was cool, but shopping there was troublesome and I felt my presence there was unwanted. Fortunately that's where I got the teddy dress, Cupcake bag and the two accessories.
Shinjuku's CC was the nicest, most organized place - they even had a part dedicated for Punk and Vivienne Westwood stuff. They even had a red heart jacket on display!! I wanted to buy half of the shop, honestly, but the prices are so high nowadays... Any BTSBB dress was over 40000¥, and if it looked oldschool, 60000¥ or even more. The Shirley Temple dress and cardigan were bought there. Lastly, the Osaka CC is bigger - they have two separate floors, one for lolita and one for punk; but it was the end of my trip and I could not find any dress I wanted there, but got the awesome shoes. I had other friends agreeing that the Osaka location has the nicest staff, and a better selection than other shops. I think I agree with them...
