Ontem visitei a loja da Gloomth em Toronto! Como mencionei em minha lista sobre marcas independentes, o nome oficial da loja é Doll Funeral, e eles vendem roupas da Gloomth e alguns itens selecionados (alguns novos, alguns de segunda mão, alguns vintage). Por sorte, no dia 4 de maio, eles também estavam realizando uma espécie de pequena feira - vários designers e artistas foram convidados para expor seus itens lolita, ilustrações, fofuras artesanais e livros.
Yesterday I visited the Gloomth shop in Toronto! As I mentioned in my indie brands post, the shop's official name is Doll Funeral, and they sell both Gloomth clothing and some select items (some new, some secondhand, some vintage). Luckily, on May 4th, they were also having somthing like a small fair - several designers and artists were invited to exhibit their lolita items, illustrations, handmade goodies and books.
Foi engraçado porque primeiro não consegui achar a entrada do prédio, e depois uma mulher na rua (com um look punk muito bacana por sinal) me disse “É no segundo andar”. Eu fiquei tipo ???? e ela apontou para minha saia com cupcakes "Eu sei o que você está vestindo, o pessial tá lá em cima." Eu achei muito legal, na verdade XD então, sim, entrei no prédio e fui para o segundo andar. Esse foi meu look:
It was funny because I couldn't find the entrance of the building first, and then a woman on the street (with a very cool punk look by the way) told me "It is on the second floor". I was like ???? and she pointed to my cupcake skirt "I know what you are wearing, the people are there upstairs." I thought it was quite nice actually XD so, yeah, I entered the building and went to the second floor. This was my outfit:

O mercado de artistas foi tão interessante! Eram 6 ou 7 artistas com estilos bem diferentes, variando de acessórios lolita a cartões postais. Eu roubei essa foto do Instagram do Doll Funeral ;)

FALAR SOBRE A TAEDEN MARAVILHOSA
About the shop itself, what an interesting, beautiful place. There are several racks of clothing, and toys and art going up the walls. I asked Taeden, the shopowner and mastermind behind Gloomth, if it was ok to take pictures if the place with her, and she agreed ❤ She is a total sweetheart and I would love to keep in touch, I love her photoshoots and creations. I think her outfit was really great that day too!

A bolsa será um presente para uma amiga querida. Eu queria comprar um vestido para mim, mas tinha apenas uma pequena mala de mão e não conseguia carregá-la; também orçamento ^^' Mas se eu fosse comprar um vestido da Gloomth, seria um desses quatro:
The bag will be a gift for a dear friend. I wanted to get a dress for myself, but I had only a small cabin bag and couldn't carry it; also budget ^^' But if I was going to buy one dress from Gloomth, it would be one of those four:
Os dois primeiros seriam como a perfeição do oldschool. Eu amo os dois. Ao mesmo tempo, eles têm um decote mais casual, o que é menos comum em Lolita, e também são feitos de um tecido chiffon forte e macio - também meio raro em Lolita! Passei minhas mãos por eles na loja e eram um SONHO. Eu gostaria de tê-los experimentado.
O vestido preto do meio é TÃO LEGAL, uma visão punk de um JSK lolita! Seria perfeito para ir a shows (além de coords punk lolita, claro). Por último, mas não menos importante, o vestido Fondant me parece uma assinatura da Gloomth. Eu não vi nenhum outro vestido lolita parecido com este, talvez alguns lançamentos mais antigos da AP de 2007, mas a versão de Gloomth é única e atual.
The first two would be like oldschool perfection. I love them both. At the same time, they have a more casual neckline, which is less common in Lolita, and also they are made of a strong and soft chiffon fabric - also kinda rare in lolita! I touched them at the store and they were a DREAM. I wish I had tried them on.
The black dress in the middle is just SO COOL, a punk's envision of a lolita JSK! Would be perfect for going to concerts (as well as punk lolita coordinates, of course). Last but not least, the Fondant dress feels to me like a signature from Gloomth. I haven't seen any other lolita dresses that look like this, maybe some older AP releases from 2007, but Gloomth's take is unique and fresh.

Mais tarde, fui com meu marido pra uma loja de video games. Lá encontrei duas fofas que também tinham visitado o Artists Market na Doll Funeral.
