Olá! Em vez de fazer mais um post sobre 'got lolita' / compras, queria compartilhar minhas impressões sobre a Angelic Pretty de dezembro passado e início de janeiro, já que visitei várias lojas deles no Japão. Tenham paciência comigo ♥ Sou muito fã da AP e sempre quero ver o que eles têm nas lojas. É uma das marcas que me fizeram apaixonar por lolita e tenho grande admiração por tudo o que eles fazem.

Hi! Instead of just making another 'got lolita' /shopping post, I wanted to share my impressions about Angelic Pretty from last December and beginning of January, since I visited several stores from them in Japan. Please bear with me ♥ I am a big fan of AP and I always want to see what they have in store. It is one of the brands who made me fall in love with lolita and I have a great admiration for everything they have done.

Ao visitar quase todas as lojas em Tóquio, além de outros pontos de venda da AP, tive a impressão de que algo mudou na marca. As lojas ainda parecem super fofas e cor-de-rosa, mas senti que só poderia comprar algumas peças complementares para o meu guarda-roupa. Peças principais? Zero. Tudo o que tinham em estoque parecia uma mancha pastel sem graça.
Desculpe, eu amo tons pastel e cores doces, sou fã de várias estampas em tons pastel suaves, mas parece que a AP simplesmente não está presente. Vi algumas garotas no Instagram chamando isso de "era do bege triste" e tive que rir, mas talvez seja isso mesmo? Tive a impressão de que vários dos lançamentos mais recentes se parecem mais com vestidos da Pink House por causa do corte e da falta de contraste das estampas...

As I visited almost shops in Tokyo, plus other AP locations, I had the impression that something changed on the brand. The shops still look super cute and pink, but I felt I could only buy some complimentary things to my wardrobe. Main pieces? zero. Everything they had in stock seemed like a muted pastel blob.
I am sorry, I love pastels and candy colors, I'm a sucker for several muted pastel prints, but it just feels like AP is not present. I saw some girls on instagram call it the 'sad beige era' and I had to laugh, but maybe that's it? I had the impression that several of the newer releases look more like Pink House dresses because of the cut and lack of contrast of the prints...

Acho fofo em outras pessoas, mas não era bem o que eu queria usar — e parecia ser a única opção disponível nas lojas físicas. Estampas grandes e chamativas? Não vi nenhuma. Eu também queria algo bem estilo princesa, em cores lisas, para combinar com a minha boneca Pullip (que usa AP), e também nada. Tinha uma branca, para ser justa. Mas as cores mais vibrantes que eu adoro, como preto ou vermelho? Nada. Tive dificuldade para encontrar peças que combinassem comigo... Isso é o que comprei nas 5 lojas que visitei.

I find it cute on other people, but that is really not what I wanted to wear - and it seemed to be the only things they had in the physical shops. The big, bold prints? I didn't see any. I also wanted something super princess like, in plain colors, to match my pullip doll (that wears AP) and also nothing. There was one in white, to be fair. But the bolder colors that I love, like black or red? nothing. I struggled to find matching pieces for me... This is what I bought in the 5 stores I visited.

Comprei o laço vermelho antes de encontrar o xadrez. Meu plano era ter um acessório de cabeça melhor para o Vestido JSK Xadrez, mas como encontrei o que combina perfeitamente, não consigo justificar ficar com os dois. Vou tentar vendê-lo no próximo encontro de trocas em Berlim. Os outros acessórios são muito fáceis de combinar com a maioria das coisas que já tenho. Eu até tenho o anel que combina com este colar.

I bought the red bow with before I found the tartan one. My plan was to have a better headpiece for the Tartan JSK, but since I found the perfect matching one, I can't justify keeping both of them. I will try to sell it on the next Swap Meeting in Berlin. The other accessories are just very easy to match with most of what I already own. I even have the matching ring for this necklace.

Apesar de ter gostado muito de comprar pessoalmente, tive a impressão constante de que algo estava errado. As peças principais não me atraíram, mesmo estando disposta a comprar um vestido rosa longo, estilo princesa. Os casacos e cardigans também não me agradaram. As blusas também – cheguei a experimentar uma, com franzido nas costas, e mesmo assim ficou pequena nos meus braços. É quase como se eu não me sentisse mais como o público-alvo da marca.
Tenho que admitir, as bolsas eram maravilhosas. Queria comprar todas. As novas bolsas de coração, as miniaturas, as com glitter, o relançamento de 2008 que vem acontecendo de vez em quando nos últimos anos... Sinceramente, espero que a AP crie coisas novas e lindas, ou que relance seus modelos favoritos. E se quiserem manter os tons pastel suaves, por favor, relancem minha dream print, a Petit Patisserie!

Even though I really enjoyed shopping things in person, I had the impression something was off, the whole time. The main pieces didn't call me, even though I was willing to buy a big, princess-y pink dress. The coats or cardigans were also meh. Blouses too - I even tried one on, full back shirring, and it still was too small on my arms. It is almost like I don't feel like I'm their target audience anymore.
I have to admit, the bags were gorgeous. I wanted to buy them all. The new heart bags, the minis, the glittery ones, the 2008 re-release that has been going on and off in the last years... I honestly hope to see AP either create new, beautiful things, or then re-release old favorites. And if they want to keep muted pastels, please re-release my dreamy Petit Patisserie!

Acabei de ver que a Coleção de Primavera da AP está um pouco diferente. Espero que continuem criando peças tão lindas!

I currently saw that the Spring Collection by AP is a bit different. I hope they keep on doing this beautiful stuff!
