Classical in a castle~

Eu queria que o Tai visitasse pelo menos um castelo bonito perto de Berlim. Poderia ter sido Charlottenburg, Köpenick ou Bellevue. Achei que Potsdam, bem perto de Berlim, causaria mais impacto, já que Sanssouci é uma beleza rococó com um parque gigante, também cheio de coisas bonitas para ver, e um centrinho charmoso. Foi isso que eu vesti:

I wanted Tai to visit at least one pretty castle near Berlin. It could have been Charlottenburg, Köpenick or Bellevue, I thought Potsdam right outside of Berlin would make the most impact, since Sanssouci is a rococo beauty with a giant park also full of pretty things to see and a small charming town center. This is what I wore:

Acordamos cedo, mas acabamos saindo quase meio-dia, mas tínhamos tudo o que precisávamos. Nós dois nos vestimos com o máximo de babados possível, já que o dia não estava particularmente frio, e levamos minha cesta de piquenique. Não tiramos nenhuma foto dela nem da nossa comida, desculpe! Aqui estão algumas fotos do palácio principal, Sanssouci:

We woke up early enough but endend up leaving almost midday, but we had everything we needed. We both dressed as frilly as we could, since the day was not especially cold, and we brought my picnic basket along. We didn't take any pictures of that or of our food, sorry! Here's some of the main palace, Sanssouci:

Caminhamos por quase todo o parque, então vimos também os Jardins Sicilianos, o Pavilhão Chinês e seguimos até o prédio da Universidade.

We walked through almost the whole park, so we also saw the Sicilian Gardens, Chinese Pavillion, and followed all the way until the University building.

O edifício que menos gostei foi o Charlottenhof. Eu esperava uma miniatura do Palácio de Charlottenburg e, em vez disso, vi uma casa quadrada que queria ser um monumento grego, só que sem colunas extravagantes. Um dos minhas favoritas foi a casa rosa (não sei bem o que é esse lugar rosa).

My least favorite building was the Charlottenhof building, I expected a miniature of the Charlottenburg Palace and instead saw a square-ish house that wanted to be a greek monument without having fancy columns. One of my favorite ones instead was the pink house (I'm not sure what's this pink place supposed to be).

Pegamos um ônibus de volta ao centro histórico e depois caminhamos pelas ruas e lojas charmosas. Encontrei um livro adorável em um antiquário, acho que combinamos! (Além disso, custou apenas 3€ e está cheio de fábulas e ilustrações antigas. Uma verdadeira joia.)

We took a bus back to the old city center and then walked through the pretty streets and shops. I found a lovely book in an antique shop, I think we match! (Plus it was only 3€, and it is full of antique fables and ilustrations. A true gem.)

Chegamos em casa sem ser muito tarde, entao ainda deu tempo de jantar e não estar mega cansado - a gente ainda tinha uma viagem inteira até Munique no dia seguinte! Dá uma olhada de novo na minha amiga; a Tai tava tão linda!!!

We got home not too late, so we still had time to eat dinner and not be super dead tired - we'd still have a whole trip to Munich on the following day! Look again at my friend; Tai was so pretty!!!
