Cat-themed meetup!

Nossa querida comunidade de Berlim organizou um mini-encontro no Museu dos Gatos de Berlim, uma pequena coleção particular. A sugestão foi que usássemos estampas com tema de gatos! Eu não tenho nenhuma, então levei minha bolsa da Charmmy Kitty.

Our darling Berlin community organized a mini-meetup in the Cat Museum of Berlin, a small, private owned collection. The suggestion was that we'd wear cat themed prints! I don't have any, so I brought my Charmmy Kitty bag along.

Aparentemente tem gatos também na estampa Fantasy Garden! Eu me lembrava do arbusto de coelhinho e do de ursinho, mas também tem um de gato!! Yay, dentro do tema!

Logo no lado de fora do museu já tinha um grafitti fofo de gatinho espacial:

Apparently there are cats in the Fantasy Garden print! I remember the Bunny Bush and the Teddy Bear Bush, but there's also a topiary cat!! Yay, on theme!

Just outside the museum there's this cute grafitti of a space cat:

No final, éramos 12 pessoas no encontro, então não foi tão mini! O museu nos aceitou, mas tivemos que nos mover lentamente para lá. O dono do museu é um adorável senhor de 90 anos que coleciona itens para gatos desde 1945.

In the end we were 12 people at the meet, so not so mini! The museum accepted us but we had to move slowly in there. The owner of the museum is an adorable 90 year old man that has been collecting cat items since 1945.

Um dos meus itens favoritos era uma manequim de gato de 140cm de altura vestida como uma dama rococó bem chique! Ela costumava ficar em uma joalheria antes de ficar no museu.

One of my favorite items was a 140cm high cat doll dressed up as a fancy rococo lady! She used to be in a jewelry shop before being in the museum.

Achei bem fofo o dono dizer que não sabe quantos gatos tem lá! Ele só toma cuidado para não ter duplicatas, e troca com outros colecionadores de gatos também. Ele também disse que não tem uma peça favorita, ele ama todas elas.

I found it quite adorable that the owner says he does not know how many cats are there! He only takes care not to have duplicates, and trades with other cat collectors as well. He also said he does not have a favorite piece, he loves them all.

No final, essa aquarela única dizendo "do not disturb" (não perturbe) é minha favorita. Eu teria uma parecida em casa.

In the end, this single watercolor saying "do not disturb" is my favorite. I'd have a similar one at home.

Depois disso ainda fomos a um café para lanchar e conversar. Foi tão bom! Pedi um chá chamado "Heidi's Delight" e um bolo de mousse de chocolate.

After that we still went to a café to snack and chat. It was so nice! I ordered a tea called "Heidi's Delight" and a chocolate mousse cake.
