A brick-and-mortar AP shop in Berlin!!

Em parceria com a loja Harajuku Closet (a de Hamburgo com filial em Berlim), a Angelic Pretty abriu uma loja Pop-Up por um único dia aqui em Berlim! Eles até anunciaram no site deles ♥ Claro que eu tinha que ir lá. Foi isso que eu usei:

In a partnership with the Harajuku Closet shop (the one from Hamburg with a branch in Berlin), Angelic Pretty opened up a Pop-Up shop for one single day here in Berlin! They even announced at their website ♥ Of course I had to go there. This is what I wore:

Já que Maki e Asüka (sim, as próprias designers) estavam indo, tentei fazer algo fofo para elas - aquarelas. Esta é uma foto do que eu fiz.

Since Maki and Asüka (yes, the designers themselves) were going, I tried making something cute for them - watercolors. This is a pic of what I made.

Confesso que fiquei tão empolgada com esse evento que fiquei conversando sobre ele com meu marido durante toda a semana >__< Mal consegui dormir na noite anterior. Normalmente fico nervosa antes dos eventos lolita e acho muito difícil socializar no início. Eu estava prestes a pegar os fones de ouvido quando minha amiga Dani chegou e conversou bastante comigo ❤ também pudemos conversar com gente nova (garotas que eu não conhecia antes), daí chegaram amigas de longa data, depois chegou Asuka com duas vendedoras da AP, e a fila ficou cada vez maior em frente à loja!

I admit I was so excited about this event, I kept on talking about it to my hubby during the whole week >__< I could barely sleep the night before. I usually get nervous before lolita events and find it super hard to socialize at the beginning. I was at the point of picking up headphones when my friend Dani arrived and we chatted a lot ❤ we also got to chat with new people (girls that I didn't know before), old friends arrived, then Asuka arrived with two AP shopgirls, and the line became longer and longer in front of the shop!

Uma staff muito simpática da Harajuku Closet nos deu as boas vindas exatamente às 12h e nos disse (em inglês e alemão) que entraríamos na loja com no máximo 10 pessoas naquele horário. Fui uma das dez primeiras! Normalmente fotos não são permitidas nas lojas da AP, mas aqui nos disseram que estava tudo bem. Então, aí vão as fotos~~

A lovely staff from Harajuku Closet greeted us at 12:00 exactly and told us (in both english and german) that we would enter the store at a maximum of 10 people at the time. I was one of the first ten! Usually photos are not allowed in AP shops, but here the owners said it was OK. So, here comes the pictures~~

A primeira coisa que eu realmente quis fazer foi dar os presentinhos para Maki e Asuka. Maki chegaria mais tarde, então conversei um pouco com Asuka-san. Ela foi muito gentil e NÃO SEI COMO criei coragem para mostrar a ela meu chapéu de bolo feito à mão (por que fiz isso??), e ela disse que era fofo! Ela até pediu uma foto ~~ Achei que eu ia desmaiar. De qualquer forma, perguntei se ela daria a outra aquarela para Maki-san e ela concordou. Então me virei para fazer as fotos que acabei de mostrar.

The first thing I actually wanted to do was to give the little gifts to Maki and Asuka. Maki would just arrive later, so I chatted a bit with Asuka-san. She was very kind and I DON'T KNOW HOW I mustered some courage to show her my handmade cake hat (why did I do it??), and she said it was cute! She even asked for a picture~~ I thought I was going to faint. Anyway, I asked if she would then give the other watercolor to Maki-san, and she agreed to. Then I turned around for the pics I just showed you.

Minha primeira ideia foi comprar uma saia branca da Decoration Ice Cream, ou acessórios. Eles não tinham saia e de alguma forma eu não estava muito interessada nos acessórios quanto estava em um antigo vestido dos sonhos:

My first idea was to shop for a Decoration Ice Cream white skirt, or for accessories. They didn't have the skirt and somehow I wasn't as interested in the accessories as I was in an old dream dress:

Uma vendedora muito simpática estava me ajudando a pegar os itens e experimentar o vestido que estava na minha frente. Veja bem, a loja tinha até um lugar para experimentar roupas (como camisas e vestidos) em uma sala separada, mas seria muito trabalhoso tirar tudo só para experimentar um vestido franzido nas costas...

A very nice shopgirl was helping me pick up items and try the dress on front of me. You see, the shop even had a place for trying on clothes (like shirts and dresses) in a separate room, but it would be so troublesome to take everything off just to try a full back shirred dress...

Sobre a loja em si: havia funcionários alemães e japoneses. Da Alemanha, eram três pessoas: Kia (a dona), a garota vestindo o Holy Lantern verde escuro (desculpe, esqueci de perguntar seu nome!) e Charlotte - ela participava da comm de Berlim, mas agora se mudou para longe. A equipe japonesa era composta por duas vendedoras da AP; eles sabiam falar um pouco de inglês e um "dankeschön" muito fofo. Felizmente me lembrei de japonês o suficiente para dizer que o vestido vermelho era o meu favorito (experimentei o rosa também, mas, meh, não sei), e então ela me mostrou que havia meias combinando. Comprei também buttons/broches, então meu pedido se qualificaria para o sorteio de pequenos prêmios.

About the shop itself: there was both German staff and Japanese staff. From Germany, there were three people: Kia (the owner), the girl in the dark green Holy Lantern (sorry, I forgot asking your name!) and Charlotte - she used to be in the Berliner Comm, but now she moved far away. The Japanese staff were two AP shopgirls; they could speak a little bit of english and a very cute "dankeschön". Thankfully I remembered enough japanese to say that the red dress was my favourite (I tried the pink one as well but, meh, I don't know), and then she showed me there were matching socks. I bought also badges, so my order would qualify for the tombola/prize raffle.

Saí da loja e conversei com outras pessoas adoráveis na fila. Quando minha amiga Dani saiu da loja, fomos juntos tomar um bubble tea. Achei que era isso que tinha terminado, mas outra amiga me perguntou se eu poderia verificar o preço de uma sacola; e também percebi que esqueci de comprar o ingresso para tirar foto instax/polaroid com as designers :P Então agora eu tinha dois motivos para voltar para a fila da AP!

I then left the shop and talked with other lovely people on the line. When my friend Dani left the shop, we went together for some bubble tea. I thought that was it but then another friend asked me if I could check the price for a totebag; and I also realized I forgot buying the ticket for taking an instax/polaroid picture with the designers :P So I had now two reasons to go to the AP line again!

Quando a fila começou a se mover, de repente Maki apareceu com outra mulher. Fiquei estudando o rosto dela por algumas semanas, então posso confirmar que era ninguém menos que a dona da AP - quando as cumprimentei com 'Maki-san! Honda-san!', elas sorriram. ♥ Não tirei fotos delas na rua, né, mas aqui você pode ler um pouco da história de Angelic Pretty e ver que as aparições de Honda-san são um tanto raras. Eu me senti tão feliz e também muito sortuda!!

Também resolvi usar meu chapéu de bolo, hahaha.

As the line began moving, suddenly Maki appeared with another woman. I was studying her face for a couple weeks, so I can confirm it was no one other than the owner of AP - when I greeted them with 'Maki-san! Honda-san!', they smiled. ♥ I didn't take photos of them on the street, duh, but here you can read a bit of the Angelic Pretty history and see that Honda-san's appearances are somewhat rare. I felt so happy and also so lucky!!

I also decided to wear my cake hat, hahaha.

Então, dentro da loja verifiquei o preço das bolsinhas/sacolas de edição limitada (era um pouco caro para o meu gosto, e também para a amiga que me pediu), e me juntei às pessoas que iriam tirar a foto instantânea. Mas daí eu vi Asuka novamente! E Maki! E Asuka chamou a Maki, e disse pra mim “Estou feliz que você está aqui de novo, queria que Maki visse quem fez o presente”. Perguntei se poderíamos tirar fotos juntas, e então elas tiraram as fotos mostrando as aquarelas minúsculas que eu fiz~~ aaaaaaa

So, inside the shop I then checked the price of the limited edition tote bags (it was a bit too expensive for my taste, and also for the friend who asked me), and joined the people that would take the instant photo. But then I saw Asuka again! And Maki! And Asuka called Maki, and said to me "I'm happy you're here again, I wanted Maki to see who made the present". I asked if we could take pictures together, and then they took the pictures showing the tiny watercolors I did~~ aaaaaaa

Eu poderia falar por horas sobre o que aconteceu, sobre cada amiga que encontrei, sobre as novas pessoas com quem conversei, sobre como tudo foi emocionante, sobre como me senti falando em japonês depois de tanto tempo, mas talvez seja demais. Eu só queria que o mundo soubesse o quanto estou feliz que a comunidade Lolita aqui tenha conseguido organizar tudo isso, e como tive sorte de ter a possibilidade de participar deste evento. Agora vou mostrar minhas compras, hahaha.

I could talk for hours about what happened, about every single friend I met, about the new people I talked to, of how thrilling it all was, of how I felt talking in Japanese after a long time, but maybe it would be too much. I just wanted the world to know how happy I feel that the Lolita comm here was able to organize all of this, and how lucky I was to have the possibility of joining this event. I am now going to show you my purchases, hahaha.

Esse é meu vestido novo queridinho :3 Comprei com as meias brancas (acho que tanto a rosa quanto a preta também poderiam ficar muito bonitas), e o laço de cabeça também fez parte do conjunto (não dava para separar ele do vestido). Adoro essa estampa, com bolinhas, frutas vermelhas, alguns biscoitos... Já imagino tantos coordinates para isso! Quando experimentei em casa foi bem fácil - o franzido/shirring é bem generoso, então não tem zíper. Tão confortável! Eu entendo perfeitamente o design dos lançamentos atuais mudando para serem mais confortáveis como este. Então sim, dreamdress! Tenho que tirá-lo da minha lista de desejos agora.

This is my darling new dress :3 I got it with the white socks (I think both the pink and the black ones could also look very nice), and the headbow was also part of the set (you could not get it separated from the dress). I love this print, with polkadots, red fruits, some biscuits... I can already imagine so many coord for this! When I tried it on at home, it was quite easy - the shirring is very full, so there is no zipper. So comfortable! I totally understand the design of currently releases changing to be more comfy like this one. So yeah, dreamdress! Gotta take it out of my wishlist now.

É impressionante como as marcas se valorizam ao organizar um evento como este. Quer dizer, é com esse tipo de evento que as marcas mostram às Lolitas que a voz delas importa, que elas estão no mapa, que a comunidade daquele lugar é relevante. As pessoas vieram não só dos arredores de Berlim, mas de Dresden, Hannover, Bremen, Hamburgo, até Munique - houve quem atravessasse o país para isso, sabe? É lindo. Saber que as marcas fizeram questão de cruzar o mundo para estar lá, e as lolitas cruzaram suas cidades e estados para chegar lá dá uma sensação de proximidade, de comunidade. Lolita continua firme, forte e relevante!

It's impressive how brands value themselves by organizing an event like this. I mean, it's with this type of event that brands show Lolitas that their voices matter, that they are on the map, that the community in that place is relevant. People came not only from the surroundings of Berlin, but from Dresden, Hannover, Bremen, Hamburg, even Munich - there were those who crossed the country for this, you know? It's beautiful. Knowing that the brands made a point of crossing the world to be there, and the lolitas crossed their cities and states to get there gives a feeling of closeness, of community. Lolita remains firm, strong and relevant!
