Eu sei que isso pode ser meio óvio, já que o Angelic Pretty Pullip Doll Case foi lançado em 2012 (sim, DOZE anos atrás!), mas como encontrei uma loja de Pullip vendendo os cases/estojos novos na caixa, pensei em tentar. Eu adoro bonecas, principalmente se consigo vesti-las de lolita, e nunca tive um item original da AP para dolls, então essa foi minha chance. A loja onde comprei a caixa se chama Pullip World e é da Bélgica. Sim, sem taxas de importação :D

I know this might be a given, since the Angelic Pretty Pullip Doll Case was released in 2012 (yes, TWELVE years ago!) but since I found a Pullip shop selling them brand new in box, I thought I could give it a try. I love dolls, especially if I can dress them up in lolita, and never owned an AP item for dolls, so that was my chance. The store I bought the case from is called Pullip World and it's from Belgium. Yay, no import fees :D

I think having a warning in several languages 'THIS IS NOT A TOY' for a collectible doll was really insteresting ♥ After all, it's a collaboration between a Korean doll brand and a Japanese clothing brand, made in China, sold in Europe so it's very much international XD

Então, esse é o lado de fora do estojo! Parece muito com uma barra de chocolate com uma ilustração de coroa muito fofa.

O nome original diz "Angelic Pretty Doll Case Chess Chocolate Mint version", então se eu conseguir combinar com menta e chocolate, eu faço! Infelizmente não possuo nada da série Chess Chocolate, então vou improvisar. Espero que goste!

Aí abri o case para mostrar o interior, mas tive que parar: o que raios estava acontecendo com esse espelho?

Then I opened up the case to show the inside, but had to stop: What the heck was going on with this mirror?

Além disso, papelão empenado/torto, bordas rachadas, puxando nos cantos... Tirei essas fotos e enviei para a vendedora.

Also, warped cardboard, cracking edges, pulling up in the corners... I took these pics and sent to the seller.

A vendedora me ofereceu um reembolso se eu enviasse a caixa de volta. Ela também afirmou que todos vieram assim da Groove, que disseram ter "aparência antiga" de propósito. Achei bastante....curioso e fui investigar na internet.

The seller offered me a refund if I sent the case back. She also stated that they all came like this from Groove, which they said it was "old looking" on purpose. I found it quite....curious and went to the internet to investigate.

Eu não estava tão envolvida com bonecas lá em 2012, então não tinha ideia de quais eram as reações na época, mas minha pergunta no Reddit fez as pessoas se lembrarem do que aconteceu. Basicamente, a comunidade Pullip viu que o estojo da boneca era de uma qualidade muito baixa em comparação com outros produtos da Groove. Não só porque era uma caixa de papelão cara, mas também por causa de defeitos semelhantes no meu produto - espelho estragado, alça de ombro se desintegrando... Depois de um tempo, todos foram vendidos com um grande desconto devido às reclamações. Gostaria apenas de ter sabido disso antes de comprar, ou pelo menos que a loja informasse aos compradores o real estado dos produtos.

No final resolvi ficar com o estojo e ver se conseguia consertar, já que conserto brinquedos há muito tempo. Então, por favor, ignore o espelho estranho e vamos ver o assento fofo dentro do case!

I wasn't so much involved with dolls around 2012 so I had no idea what the reactions were at the time, but my question on Reddit made people recall what happened. Basically the Pullip community saw that the doll case was very low quality in comoarison with other Groove products. Not only because it was an expensive carboard box, but also because of similar defects in my product - messed up mirror, the shoulder strap desintegrating... After a while they all were sold with a heavy discount due to the complaints. I only wish I knew this before buying, or at least that the shop would inform the buyers of the real condition of the products.

In the end I decided to keep the case and see if I could fix it, since I've been fixing toys for a long time. So, please ignore the weird mirror and let's see the cute seat inside the case!

Os braços e assento da poltrona servem para guardar pequenos itens :) isso é muito bacana para quem gosta de fotografar bonecas com acessórios!

The arms and seat of the armchair serve as storage :) this is very nice for people who like photographing their dolls with accessories!

A poltrona pode ser removida do estojo. Ele prende com velcro (que também é suuuuper amarelado).

The armchair can be removed from the case. It attaches with velcro (which is also suuuuper yellowed).

Minha boneca é customizada com um tipo de corpo diferente - não é um corpo tipo Pullip T4 original, mas sim um Obitsu 27cm! Isso a torna mais alta, então ela se senta de um jeito meio instável. Ainda posso fechar o case/estojo com ela, mas tenho que ter cuidado.

My doll is customized with a different type of body - it is not an original Pullip T4 kind of body, but an Obitsu 27cm! This makes her taller, so she sits in a wonky way. I can still close the case with her, but I have to be careful.

É assim que um corpo Pullip normal/atual se senta - e posso mostrar melhor o minúsculo cinto de segurança que a poltrona tem!

Todos os 3 pontos do cinto de segurança são fixados com botões de pressão.

All the 3 points of the seat belt are attached with press-on buttons.

É assim que as tiras são presas. Acho que elas serem removíveis torna mais fácil de consertar ou trocar caso o couro falso estrague.

This is how the straps are attached. I think having them removable makes it easier to fix or change them in case the fake leather is not good anymore.

Esse é meu look completo ❤ todo com cor de menta! Eu sei que o caso da AP diz 'Mint Version' no nome, mas nunca houve outra versão (como a rosa, por exemplo).

This is my full matching outfit ❤ all in mint color! I know the AP case says 'Mint Version' in the name, but there's never been another version (like a pink one, for example).

Tentei mexer o espelho no lugar depois de tirar essas fotos, e todo o papelão se desgrudou sozinho. Acho que foi melhor assim, agora não sinto nenhuma culpa em consertar do jeito que quero.

I tried wiggling the mirror in its place after taking these photos, and the whole cardboard thing unglued itself. I think it was for the best, I now feel zero guilt in fixing it the way I want it.

Bem, agora dá pra ver que tudo foi colado de forma barata. Acho que quem está acostumado a trabalhar com papelão/cartonagem consegue fazer algo bem melhor e provavelmente entende que certos tipos de cola interagem pior com o plástico - nesse caso, a cola derreteu a parte brilhante do espelho plástico flexível.

Well, I can now see everything was cheaply glued. I think people used to working with cardboard can make something way better, and they probably understand that certain types of glue interact worse with plastics - in this case, the glue melted the shiny part of the flexible plastic mirror.

Como viajei logo após receber o case, só estou postando agora, umas 3 semanas depois. Durante minha viagem, encontrei um pequeno espelho de mão para substituir o de plástico. Este espelho é duro, feito de vidro. Colei tudo de volta, espero que dure mais que o antigo!

Since I traveled shortly after receiving the case, I'm only posting it now, like 3 weeks later. While on my trip, I found a small hand mirror to replace the plastic one. This mirror is hard, made with glass. I did glue the whole thing back on, I hope it can last longer than the old one!
