Estou aqui em uma viagem (mental) ao passado e queria mostrar a primeira J-fashion que me lembro e que teve uma grande influência na comunidade lolita. Eis o estilo Gyaru!

I'm here on a trip down the memory lane and wanted to show the first J-fashion I remember that had a big influence on the lolita community. Behold, the Gyaru!

A moda Gyaru é definida pelo seu estilo feminino - gyaru é a forma japonesa de pronunciar 'Girl', e às vezes também é escrito como 'Gal'. Existem muitas subdivisões, dependendo do estilo - como kogal para o visual de colegial, ganguro para bronzeados super fortes e deco, e também hime-gyaru para aquelas que usam looks super princesinha.

Gyaru fashion is defined by its girly style - gyaru it's the japanese way to pronunce 'Girl', and sometimes it's also written like 'Gal'. There are many subdivisions, depending on the style - like kogal for the school-girl look, ganguro for the super hard tans and deco, and also hime-gyaru for the ones that wear super princess-y looks.

'Hime' (姫) em japonês significa 'princesa'. A aparência de Himegyaru influenciou não apenas a hime lolita, mas as sweet lolitas como um todo, como você pode ver facilmente nos anúncios da Angelic Pretty de 2008 em diante.

Em vez de usar um único colar de pérolas e um laço no cabelo, a Hime-gyaru mostrou às lolitas que elas poderiam usar várias correntes de pérolas no pescoço e nos pulsos, além de uma peruca enorme para poder receba acessórios de cabeça ainda maiores.

Instead of wearing a single pearl necklace and a bow in the hair, the Hime-gyaru showed the lolitas they could wear several strands of pearls on the neck and on the wrists, plus a huge wig so it can receive even bigger head accessories.

À medida que a popularidade de Himegyaru começou a diminuir, a moda lolita também seguiu em outras direções. Depois de um tempo surgiu um novo estilo Himegyaru - o Himekaji, ou casual-himegyaru ❤
