Uma história meio-amarga e doce como chocolate!

A story that's bitterweet like chocolate!

Estando meio distante do meio dos animes e mangás, eu não faço ideia de quais histórias são atuais ou não, e do que é famoso ou não, então é muito provável que eu traga mangás ou desenhos aqui no blog que não são necessariamente novos. Esse mangá aqui não é exatamente novo mas ainda está sendo publicado, e tem uma história especial pra mim, então achei uma boa trazer!

Being kinda distant from the manga and anime scene, I have no idea which stories are current or not, what's popular or not, so it is very likely that I bring books or cartoons that are not exactly new. This manga is not exactly new but it's still being published, and it has a special story to me, so I thought it was good to have it here!

A série de livros se chama "Die Schokohexe" em alemão, que daria para traduzir como "A Bruxa do Chocolate", mas o nome em japonês é um pouco diferente: Chocola no Mahou (ショコラの魔法), a Magia do Chocolate. A protagonista se chama Chocola Aikawa, e é uma garota (idade desconhecida?) que se apresenta como chocolatier e usa visuais fortemente inspirados na moda lolita. ♥

This book series is called "Die Schokohexe" in German, so it could be translated as "The Chocolate Witch", but the original japanese name is a bit different: Chocola no Mahou (ショコラの魔法), the Magic of Chocolate. The main character is Chocola Aikawa, and it's a girl (unknown age?) that presents herself as a chocolatier and wear outfits heavily inspired in the lolita fashion. ♥

Ao longo da historia, conhecemos a Chocola e sua personalidade misteriosa, e as histórias de diversos adolescentes que passam na Chocolat Noir, sua lojinha de doces, para comprar chocolates especiais que realizam seus desejos - seja desejos romanticos, passar numa prova, fayer amigos... Comeca simples e um bocado inocente (e pra quem já passou faz teeeempo da faculdade, olhar os problemas de escola parecem quase uma versão fácil da vida), mas aos poucos a história se complica com pessoas morrendo e uma outra bruxa que faz chocolates e compete para ceifar almas O_O

Through the story we get to know Chocola and her mysterious personality, and the stories of many teenagers that go to Chocolat Noir, her shop, to buy special chocolates that can fulfill wishes - be them romantic wishes, ace a test, make friends... It statrs simply, a bit innocent (and for those that have loooong gratuated college, makes the mid-school/high school problemas look like a 100% easy version of life), but little by little the plot thickens with people dying and the appearance of another chocolatier witch that competes to reap souls O_O

A história da Chocola em si (não das pessoas que ela ajuda) também é sinistra e interessantíssima. Não darei spoilers, mas digamos que o pai dela também era confeiteiro...

Chocola's story itself (not the people that she helps) is also synister and super interesting. I won't give spoilers, but let's say her father was also a chocolatier...

Atualmente eu estou no mangá de número 6, e ainda tem MUITOS pela frente! A criadora Rino Mizuho escreve E ilustra, e decidiu que ao inves de chamar cada manga por um número, que iria chamar por um doce que começasse com uma letra na ordem do alfabeto. O priemiro volume se chama Almond Kiss, o segundo é o Bitter Sweet, depois temos o Creamy Sugar, e assim por diante. O mais recente se chama Vivid Berry e foi lancado em dezembro de 2022. Eu por enquanto so tenho ate o 8, estou procurando comprar os outros (enquanto completo minha colecao de Tokyo Mew Mew e Sailor Moon, ent°ao äe complicado).

Currently I'm reading manga number 6, and there are still SO MANY to read! Creator Rino Miyuho writes AND illustrates it, and decided that instead of calling each manga by a number, she would call them for a confection/sweet that begin with a letter in the alphabetic order. The first volume is called Almond Kiss, the second is Bitter Sweet, then we have Creamy Sugar, and so on. The most recent is Vivid Berry and was released in december 2022. For now I own from 1 to 8, and I'm looking to buy all the other ones (while collecting the Tokyo Mew Mew and Sailor Moon mangas all at once, so it's complicated).

Em termos de moda, eu achei que a personagem Chocola eh bastante fiel ao estilo lolita! Seja quando usa roupas mais de frio ou mais de calor, dá pra perceber que ela seria uma menina que faz questão de usar lolita todos os dias, ou algo muito próximo disso sempre que pode. E se considerarmos que é uma história romântica, um pouco trágica, com muitos toques de magia e mistério, tambéem acaba por ser um estilo que pode agradar muitas pessoas do público lolita também. ❤

Talking about fashion, I think the character Chocola is quite faithful to the lolita style! Be it in colder weather or in warm days, you can see she would be a girl that insists on wearing lolita every day, or something very close to that whenever she can. And if we consider it's a romantic story, a bit tragic, with touches of magic and mystery, it also is a style of story that can please many people of the lolita audience as well. ❤

Eu conheci a história indo numa lojinha de mangás (a J-Store Berlin) simplesmente porque tinha gostado da capa, li a sinopse e a linguagem pareceu...razoavelmente ok de entender. Ainda estou com o dicionário do lado quando leio, por isso acabo demorando, mas tem valido a pena! Ler em língua estrangeira sobre um assunto que se gosta ajuda MUITO a expandir o vocabulário!

I got to know the story going to a manga shop (J-Store Berlin) just because I liked the cover, then read the text in the back and realized that maybe I could do it... I'm still reading with a dictionary by my side, that's why it takes so long for me to read, but it's been worth it! Reading in a foreign language about a subject you like helps A LOT in expanding your vocab!
