Até agora eu falei de artistas japoneses e de uma artista norte-americana. Hoje queria falar sobre uma artista brasileira que eu adoro muito! É a Priscila Mizuhira, mais conhecida na internet como Pri Mizuh.

Up until now I talked about japanese artists and one north-american artist. Today I'd like to show a brazilian artist that I love very much! She's Priscila Mizuhira, better known on the internet as Pri Mizuh.

Pri desenha temáticas fofas, relacionadas a gatos, desenhos animados e nostalgia no geral. Ela já publicou diversas revistinhas e um livro através de financiamento coletivo, o Gatisserie:

Pri draws cute things related to cats, cartoons and nostalgia in general. She has published several zines and a book through crowdfunding, Gatisserie:

Uma dessas revistas (que na verdade é um compilado de ilustrações que ela fez durante um mês de outubro) se chama Catland, e fez tanto sucesso que uma certa marca lolita brasileira fez collab para que pudesse ser lançada uma print lolita com essa estampa:

One of these zines (a compilation of illustrations that she did during an October) is called Catland, and was so successful that a certain brazilian lolita brand made a collab so there could be a lolita print with these images:

Essa estampa fez sucesso o suficiente para a marca DokiDoki Princess repetir a parceria, lançando dessa vez uma estampa autoral com a Pri. Essa é a dos Coelhinhos de Morango, Straberry Bunny

This print was so loved that DokiDoki Princess, the brand, made this partnership again; this time to release an original print. This is the one with the Strawberry Bunny!

Fora dessas collabs, as aparições de lolitas na arte de Pri Mizuh são mais raras. Uma que eu adoro é dos postais e adesivos na coleção Liberdade, uma série de desenhos sobre o bairro japonês* em São Paulo. ♥

Outside these collabs, lolita aparitions on Pri's Art are more rare. One that I find especially charming is the Liberdade postcard and stickers collection, a series of illustration on this japanese* neighborhood in São Paulo. ♥

(Falei "japonês" com * porque o bairro da Liberdade também tem uma enorme presença de imigrantes coreanos e chineses, sem contar ainda a história de resistência negra muito antes do bairro receber a cultura oriental de braços abertos. Daria pra passar horas falando sobre esse pedacinho incrível de mundo!)

(I said "japanese" with an * because the neighborhood has also a great number of chinese and korean immigrants, plus the story of black people and their resistance way before that place receive the oriental culture with open arms. I could spend hours talking about this incredible little piece of the world!)

Pessoalmente, eu amo o jeito divertido e leve que a Pri ilustra! Olhar as artes dela sempre passa uma sensacao boa no coração. Esse desenho aqui de Festa Junina tem muito gostinho de infância!

Personally, I love the fun and light way that she illustrates! Looking at her arts always gives me a soft, comfortable feeling in my heart. This illustration of the June Festivities (for a lack of better translation of the parties that happen in Portugal and Brazil) pretty much tastes like childhood!
