That "DREAM DRESS!" moment

Eu estava de olho nesse vestido fazia muito tempo, mas, na minha cabeça, estava naquela categoria "nunca vou conseguir comprar, então vou deixar de lado". Daí apareceu na minha bolha - agora não sei se foi na Vinted, no Lacemarket ou no Discord da comunidade alemã primeiro (mas depois estava nos 3 lugares) e percebi que era uma menina aqui da minha cidade! Eu inicialmente não fiz nada, porque ainda não tinha o dinheiro, mas depois de algumas semanas ela baixou o valor do vestido e eu estava para recebeir uma grana... Daí conversei com ela e ela topo reservar por um tempo!

I had my eye on that dress for a long time, but, in my mind, it belonged to the category "I will never be able to buy it, so let it go". Then it popped up on my bubble - I'm not sure if it was on Vinted, on Lacemarket or on our german comm Discord first (but it was on those 3 places after some time) and I realized it belonged to a girl in my city! At first I did nothing, because I had not the money yet, but after a couple weeks she lowered down the price and I had some incoming money... Then we talked and she reserved it for me!

O legal é que ela é uma das pessoas que eu tinha mais gostado de conversar nos meetings anteriores, e pra pegar o vestido ela me convidou para tomar chá na casa dela ♥ É tão adorável se sentir amiga das pessoas que a gente admira, sabe?

The cool thing is, she is one of the people i had most enjoyed talking to, and when I said I would pick up the dress, she invited me for tea at her place ♥ It feels so lovely to be a friend of the people we admire, you know?

Esse foi o coordinate de estreia que fiz, para usar o vestido em casa e ver como fica o caimento dele sentada, andando, fazendo atividades leves... A pantufa de usar em casa tem o tom ideal pra combinar!

This was my debut outfit for this dress, so I could wear it around the house and see how it feels on when moving, sitting, doing light activites or house chores... The house slippers have the same shade to match!

Queria poder aproveitar também para destacar uns detalhes importantes nessa peça! Ele é tão cheio de detalhes que dá a sensação de que eu comprei uma obra de arte, e não só um vestido para pôr no corpo.

I would also like to use this moment to showcase some important details on this piece! It is so full of little precious things that made me feel like I bought a piece of art, not only a dress to put on my body.

Primeira coisa, obviamente: AJUSTES. As alças são presas por botões que podem ser ajustados, e tem um shirring bem confortável na parte de trás, além do zíper lateral. Serviu bem apesar de eu ter um tamanho meio grande de busto, então fiquei bem contente.

First thing, obviously: AJUSTS. The straps have buttons that can be adjusted, and there's a nice comfortable shirring on the back of the dress, plus a side zipper. It fits me well even though I'm somewhat big on my chest, so I'm quite happy.

Segunda coisa: algo que eu amo nesse vestido é que tem pontos turísticos de Paris nos 4 camafeus grandões no barrado da estampa. Eu também adoro os camafeus menorzinhos, claro (uma chave antiga! Um cavalinho de carrossel!), mas os maiore são TÃO LEGAIS que preciso falar deles:

Second thing: Something I love about this dress is that it has cute sightseeing points of Paris in all the 4 big cameos in the border print. I also love the smaller ones too, of course (an antique key! a carousel horse!), but the big ones are SO COOL that I have to talk about them:

La Tour Eiffel

Claro, e estamos falando "Paris", a torre Eiffel tem que aparecer. Essa ilustração tem um lacinho na cabeça da torre *-*

Le Château de Rambouillet

Esse é um dos lugares que eu não vi pessoalmente, então tive que usar o google XD é um castelo lindinho fora da cidade de Paris. Na real é mais distante do que a cidade de Versailles, mas ainda é possível passar o dia lá e voltar pra Paris (se for bem calculado). Mais info e fotos.

This is the one I haven't seen in person, so I had to google it XD it's a pretty cute castle outside Paris. It's actually further away from the city than Versailles, but it's still possible to stay a day in there and come back to Paris (if calculated well). More info and pics.

Le Manège du Trocadéro

Esse é um carrossel específico perto da Praça do Trocadero em Paris! É TÃO LINDO, tenho uma foto lá:

Falei que eu gostava muito dos detalhes da estampa né? Esse meu colar de pônei de carrossel combina também com uma das ilustrações dos camafeus pequenos!

I told you I like the details on this print, right? This carousel pony neckace I own also matches one of the cameo's illustrations!

Sinceramente, parece que tudo combina com esse vestido - dá pra usar tanto uma camisa branca como uma camisa cor de creme, além de tons de rosa diversos e marrom. Vi as outras cores desse vestido à venda e achei tão lindo! Especialmente essa versão em cor de marfim, porque parece que os dourados se destacam ainda mais. Olha em vinho! Ver esse JSK em outras cores também me fez concluir que tudo dessa estampa é bonito! ❤

Honestly, it feels like almost anything could match this dress - I can use both white or cream colored shirts to match it, not mentioning in pink and brown shades. The other colorways of this dress are also gorgeous! Especially the ivory OP, because the gold tones have even more contrast. Look how it is in wine! Seeing this JSK in different colors also made me conclude that everything in this print is pretty! ❤

Se eu fosse altera alguma coisa nesse vestido, trocaria a fita do enfeite central/corset lacing. Só vi um blog fazendo review dessa coleção de vestidos e a autora mencionou a mesma coisa: a fita é grossa demais e lembra quase cadarços. Sei que a intenção era fazer como aquelas cordas elaboradas com borlas que tem em cortinas de teatros elegantes (tem isso na estampa também!), mas no meio do peito com um laço comum em cima ficou só... Blé. Trocaria por uma fita acetinada no tom certo de rosa, ou por uma fitinha de veludo, poderia ficar ainda mais lindo!

If I was to change anything on this dress, I'd change the ribbon on the frontal corset lacing. I only saw one blog making a review of this collection; and the author talked about the same thing: the ribbon in the front is almost like a cord, too thick, almost like shoestrings. I know the intention was to make like those cords with tassels like they have on fancy old theaters (this is on the print too!), but in the middle of the chest with a common bow on top is just... Meh. I'd change it with a good quality satin ribbon in the right shade of pink, or would use a pink velvet ribbon to make it even prettier!
