One of my favorite lolita artists!
Kira, sobrenome Imai (afinal, no Japão o sobrenome vem antes do nome - fica 今井 キラ), é uma artista japonesa que faz principalmente ilustrações fofas. Conheci o trabalho dela através das parcerias dela com a Angelic Pretty, ela geralmente faz desenhos mostrando as novas estampas lançadas.
Kira, surname Imai (after all, in Japan the surname comes before the name - it is 今井 キラ), is a japanese artists that does mainly pretty illustrations. I found out her work after her partnerships with Angelic Pretty, she usually draws the new print releases.
Já faz um tempo que não aparece mais as ilustrações da Imai Kira na capa do site da Angelic Pretty, mas uma que me me impressionou muito na época foi a Twinkle Mermaid, uma das prints mais queridas dos primórdios das roupas lolitas com estampas em serigrafia. ♥
It's been a while that Imai Kira's illustration don't show up on the Angelic Pretty website front, but one that impressed me a lot on that time was Twinkle Mermaid, one of the most beloved prints of the beginning of lolita clothing with screenprint. ♥

Imai Kira também fez diversas ilustrações para cartões postais e adesivos da Gothic&Lolita Bible, como os abaixo.

Um aspecto que eu adoro na arte dela é que é tudo bem "flat". Digo, não tem efeitos de luz e sombras, as cores costumam ser sólidas ou com estampas bem achatadas. Não existe uma preocupação em ser absolutamente realista, e tem um jeito que meio que lembra bonecas de papel...
One aspect that I adore about her art is that everything is kinda "flat". I mean, there are no light and shadow effects, colors tend to be solid or with flattened patterns. There's no preocupation in looking one hundred percent realistic, and something about it makes me think of paper dolls...
Nem tudo que a Kira desenha é super doce ou inocente. Ela também tem imagens com um pouco de gore, nudez ou sugestivas, além de temas melancólicos...
Not everything she draws is super sweet or innocent. She also has images with some gore, nudity or just suggestive, in addition to melancholic themes...
Eu tenho alguns cartões postais dela que ficaram no Brasil, espero poder trazer um dia pra cá. Mas claro, seria mais legal ainda ter uma saia Twinkle Mermaid, uma totebag nova ou mesmo os chaveirinhos lindos que ela vende na lojinha.
I have a few postcards made by her that are left back home in Brazil, I hope I can bring them over soon. But of course, it would be even nicer to get a Twinkle Mermaid skirt, a new totebag or even the cute little keychains that she sells at her store.

I have seen her illustrations everywhere, but never catched her named or website, so thanks for sharing this! I like the way she works with materials and prints, they never look out of place.
