Voltamos com o nosso (já) tradicional meetingzinho de trocas do início do ano! Fico tão feliz que tenhamos organizado um meeting desses de novo! Dessa vez foi em Köpenick, e a sugestão de tema / look era "black is beautiful". Ano passado eu já tinha ido 100% de preto, mas estamos em Berlim, é claro que um look all black funciona!

We're back with our (now) traditional little swap meetup at the beginning of the year! I'm so happy we managed to organize one again! This time it was in Köpenick, and the suggested theme/look was "black is beautiful". Last year I went 100% in black, but we're in Berlin, of course an all-black look works!

Eu quis chegar mais cedo, mas me atrasei. Nós montamos coletivamente o espaço para ter araras, mesas e cadeiras distribuídas, e logo o lugar ficou cheio de roupas lindas. Tentei tirar algumas fotos do local:

I wanted to arrive earlier, but I was late. We collectively set up the space with racks, tables, and chairs, and soon the place was full of beautiful clothes. I tried to take some pictures of the place:

Trouxe cookies e chá gelado, e todas as pessoas trouxeram outras coisinhas boas pra beliscar. Mas sinceramente, só lembrei de comer qualquer coisa quando já era o fim do evento...

I brought cookies and iced tea, and everyone else brought other nice little things to snack on. But honestly, I only remembered to eat something when the event was almost over...

Eu trouxe algumas coisas para vender e algumas para doar. Meu plano era poder trocar (swap) pelo menos um item, afinal, o nome é swap meeting, e eu consegui! Eu teoricamente estou fazendo um ano de no-buy lolita, então considero trocas OK. porém... Tinha muita coisinha num preço ótimo. Foi isso aqui que eu trouxe pra casa:

I brought some things to sell and some to donate. My plan was to be able to trade at least one item, after all, it's called a swap meeting, and I managed it! I'm theoretically making a year of no-buy lolita, so I consider trades OK. However... There were a lot of things at great prices. This is what I brought home:

Algumas dessas coisas precisarão de ajustes, mas este é o balanço final do dia:

• Coisas que eu trouxe para vender: vendi as duas peças mais caras!
• Doei algumas coisas (ótimo!)
• Comprei vários itens baratos
• Troquei uma bolsa por uma camiseta
• Ganhei presentes!
• Ganhei um laço de cabelo na seção "grátis"

Isso é algo que eu adoro em Berlim, e que nem todas as outras feiras de troca têm: um lugar para "doar". Se você tem um item lolita do qual quer se desfazer e não quer cobrar por ele (especialmente acessórios pequenos), algo que não seja 100% novo ou sobras de material de artesanato, este é o lugar certo. Achei que alguns dos meus itens se encaixariam aqui, e a maioria foi levada, que ótimo! No geral, estou super satisfeita. Fisicamente eu estava cansada, mas nossa, eu estava MUITO feliz!

Some of these things will need adjustments, but this is the final math of the day:

• things I broguht to sell: sold the two most expensive pieces!
• I donated things (also good)
• I bought several cheap items
• I swapped a bag for a T-shirt
• I got gifts!
• I got a headbow from the "free" section

This is something I love in Berlin, that not all other swap meets do: a "zum verschenken" place. If you have a lolita item that you want to get rid of and not charge for it (especially small accessories), something that is not 100% or leftover craft material, this is the way to go. I thought some of my items belonged here, and most of them were taken, yay! Overall, I'm super satisfied. Physically I was tired, but oh boy, I was SO happy!
